Although "Distortion" was already a key piece of the post-2018 transition, the version with Alissa White-Gluz further emphasized its aggressive and apocalyptic side. The collaboration strengthened BABYMETAL's connection to the more extreme international metal scene and gave the track additional weight within the "METAL GALAXY" universe.
