Architect of rhythm
Eastern Kami

Hideki Aoyama was one of the great architects of BABYMETAL's live rhythmic pulse. His importance within the project is enormous, because in a band like this the drums must not only be powerful: they must be exact, resilient, and adaptable to sudden changes in dynamics, speed, and atmosphere. Hideki fulfilled that function with extraordinary mastery. His execution helped turn BABYMETAL shows into precision machines. Often the audience's focus naturally concentrates on visible members and theatrical display, but the band's degree of stage discipline would be unthinkable without a drummer capable of sustaining the entire framework with such consistency. Hideki provided exactly that: an inflexible, technical, and demolishing foundation. Within the Japanese Kami Band, he represents the component of pure resilience. In long, demanding, and physically intense shows, his role was absolutely essential for the spectacle to never lose tension or drive. He is one of those musicians whose greatness is perceived both in technical detail and in the total solidity of the ensemble.
