Takayoshi Ohmura
Takayoshi Ohmura
Takayoshi Ohmura is one of the most emblematic and recognizable guitarists in BABYMETAL's history. His name is intimately linked to the band's stage consolidation and the era when the project stopped being seen as a curiosity and became a respected force within metal. A neoclassical virtuoso and musician of enormous prestige in Japan, Ohmura brought from the start a level of execution that immediately raised the instrumental bar for the group. His style combines speed, precision, melody, and very natural theatricality, which made him particularly suited to the BABYMETAL universe. He is not a guitarist who simply "does the job": he plays like someone who understands that the show is simultaneously music, narrative, and ceremony. Live, his presence is usually celebrated as that of a true instrumental hero. For years, he was one of the faces most associated with the classic Kami Band and one of the most beloved figures among fans. Within the broader story of the group, Ohmura perfectly represents the historical function of the Kami Band: demonstrating that behind BABYMETAL's visual impact were musicians capable of sustaining any stage in the world with total authority. More than a simple accompanist, he was one of the great pillars of the project's instrumental prestige.
