Anthony Barone brought to the Western Kami Band an especially fierce and contemporary dimension. Coming from more extreme scenes, linked to deathcore and ultra-high intensity modern metal, his presence reinforced an important idea: the Western version of the Kami Band was not going to be a simple logistical translation of the Japanese model, but a structure with its own identity, capable of injecting brutality and contemporary precision into the show. His style as a drummer is demolishing. He comes from a language where physical resilience, speed, double bass control, blast beats, and general aggression are commonplace. That foundation made him an ideal musician to sustain BABYMETAL's repertoire on the most demanding stages of the global circuit, especially in contexts where the audience came from more extreme and modern scenes. Barone also embodies one of the band's smartest decisions in its expansion: not seeking imitators of the Japanese formation, but musicians capable of sustaining the standard from their own strength. In his case, that strength was punch.
