Emotional spine of the group
Japan

Moa Kikuchi, born July 4, 1999, in Nagoya, entered the Amuse Inc. ecosystem at a very young age after standing out in a massive national audition. She was shaped from childhood in an environment where competition, versatility, and exposure are part of everyday growth. Her arrival in the industry was no accident: she showed a valuable combination of charisma, physical expressiveness, stage charm, and a natural instinct for entertainment. When she joined Sakura Gakuin, she participated in various sub-units like Twinklestars and Mini-Pati, developing different performance registers. That flexibility was a major advantage within BABYMETAL, where physical demands required far more than simply being a good dancer. In the early years, Moa's role was tied to the symmetry with Yui, forming a mirrored double that brought contrast, aggression in the "scream" parts, and perfectly synchronized choreography. But her transformation was one of the most important in the group's history. After Yui's departure in 2018, BABYMETAL's structural and emotional weight fell onto her shoulders. MOAMETAL evolved from an adorable, electrifying presence into a true visual co-commander of the group. Her presence gained density, control, and authority. She became the most human, warmest, and most interactive point of contact onstage. While SU-METAL holds the vocal and dramatic center, Moa is the emotional spine that kept the project from losing all of its human warmth. Her creativity is also notable. She received a co-writing credit with Yui on "Song 4", revealing a very personal artistic side. Over the years, MOAMETAL became something essential: the figure who helped BABYMETAL remain emotionally inhabitable.
