Momoko Okazaki, born March 3, 2003, in Fukuoka, belongs to a later generation in the Sakura Gakuin family tree. The daughter of a well-known figure in Japanese entertainment, she was familiar with the artistic world from an early age. Yet her path was not defined by inherited privilege, but by something much more important: perseverance. During her time in Sakura Gakuin, she participated in various sub-units and earned a reputation for effort and consistency. Her nickname, "President of Perseverance", was not decorative: it summed up a trait of character that would later become central to understanding her place in BABYMETAL. After graduating in 2018, she stepped away from the immediate orbit of Amuse to refine her skills abroad. When she reappeared in the BABYMETAL orbit in 2019 as one of the Avengers, she did so from a place that was quiet, but very solid. Momoko handled this incredibly delicate transition with intelligence, discipline, and patience. She did not enter as Yui's official replacement—something that would have been almost impossible to sustain emotionally—but as part of a transitional solution. Her debut as an Avenger was technically flawless, and over time her chemistry with SU-METAL and MOAMETAL became evident. The most remarkable thing was that she never tried to force a premature identity. When she was officially introduced as MOMOMETAL on April 1, 2023, the announcement felt natural and earned. Her officialization was hugely important: it was not simply "adding a member," but restoring an essential form of BABYMETAL: the stable trio. MOMOMETAL is not a replacement, it is a resolution. It allowed BABYMETAL to leave behind the suspended time of the Avengers era without betraying the pain or memory of what came before.
